the best 5 Teas to help heal your body

Every morning begins with something hot. Whether it be my temper or a hot drink, everyday starts this way. I’ve always been an avid coffee drinker, but I also enjoy a nice cup of tea a few times a week. Tea has so many health benefits that I have to make sure it is included in my meal prep and daily routine. If you do not like plain water, like me them tea is great to give water a little bit of flavor and make it more tolerable.

There are so many different teas out on the market and they all serve different benefits to the body. The key is to know which tea you need for different illnesses and sicknesses. I’m no doctor, nor do I have any medical studies, but I’m a mama who has learned that certain things work well for my body. Now before you try to heal yourself, definitely use your own judgement and research, but here are my top 5 favorite teas and their benefits.

1. Lemon

Lemons are filled with vitamin C and help boost your immunity. Lemon tea helps to detox your body, improve your digestive function, enhances skin, and help improve your heart health.

2. Passionfruit

Passionfruit is know for its antioxidants that help your skin retain moisture and improve blood flow. Passionfruit is a good source of iron, potassium, and fiber, this helps to improve the digestive system.

3. Chamomile

Chamomile is the holy grail of teas. It serves so many benefits that I’m sure I wont capture them all. Chamomile can help reduce insomnia, helps get rid of colds, it serves as a pain reliever for that time of the month, and it helps to reduce stress level.

4. Green

Green tea is my go to on this weight loss journey. It can help your body burn fat. It is also loaded with antioxidants that may help lower risks of some cancers, type 2 diabetes, and cardiovascular disease.

5. Peppermint

Peppermint tea is my favorite. It is the ultimate solution to stress relief. Peppermint tea (and peppermint oil) can help reduce stress. I have 3 toddlers and stress is an understatement for me. It also helps to fight bad breath- although you should definite see a dentist if you have bad breathe because it does not cure underlying issues. Peppermint tea can also help with an upset stomach.

Now there are plenty more teas out there that can give you some of the same benefits, but these are my favorite and have worked for me. Are any of your favorites on this list?
