Snack Tricks

Air Fryer snacks you need to try
THE AIR FRYER IS HANDS DOWN THE BEST APPLIANCE IN MY KITCHEN. IT IS LITERALLY THE STAPLE IN OUR FAMILY FOR QUICK AND HEALTHY MEALS. THE AIR FRYER HAS SAVED ME SO MANY TIME WHEN I FORGOT TO START DINNER AND ITS ALREADY NEAR BED TIME. THE PAST FEW MONTH WE HAVE BEEN COOKING A LOT OF FOODS AT HOME AND I’VE EXPERIMENTED WITH A LOT OF FOODS IN THE AIR FRYER.
Typically I will just cook chicken, fries, and even reheat fish in the fryer. It wasn’t until my kids became a little impatient that I decided to try some snacks. No lie, it has changed my mind about the capabilities that the air fryer has so cooking any meal.
Here are 3 of my favorite snacks Your should try.
- Cinnamon Rolls
This was my first snack trying in the air fryer. My kids were all over the place and I needed something quick. I saw that we had cinnamon rolls in the refrigerator and my brain literally said, “Hey, throw them in the air fryer”– so I did. I put the fryer on 350 and cooked the cinnamon rolls for 5 minutes. Let them cool for a few minutes then add the icing. Perfect meal in less than 10 minutes.
- Pepperoni Chips
Now dabbled in a few Keto recipes over the past year and this by far was one of my favorites! I want chips but didn’t want all the sugar and carbs. My Keto coach The Keto Bombshell shared this recipe on her IG stories and I had to share it! The recipe is pretty simple too. Find your favorite pepperoni slices, I got mine from Kroger, place them flat at the bottom of your fryer, cook at 360 degrees for about 7-8 minutes. Let the cook and serve with your favorite dip. I honestly prefer Heluva Good! Dips. The dip isn’t Keto, however I still like it!
- Carrot Chips
Apparently I love chips so I gave carrot chips a try! These take a little longer to cook and a little more prep, similarly they are just as good as the pepperoni chips. To make carrot chips:
- Slice the carrots
- Coat in olive oil, salt, paprika
- Place them in the bottom of the fryer
- Cook at 400 for 10 minutes
- Shake them up and continue cooking for 4 minutes.
- Serve
Now, I’m no cooking expert but I love trying out new recipes and kitchen appliances. Try these recipes and let me know how you like them! Check out my other recipes too!
