What to look for in a Resort: Lake Buena Vista Resort Village & Spa

Traveling with our children is one of our favorite things to do. This summer we took our first trip to Orlando as a family and it was a blast. Before our trip we looked for the best place to stay since we have 3 toddlers. When choosing where to stay in Orlando, it take strategic planning because you need to find a place that can meet all your needs. Researching lodging locations can literally make or break your trip, especially when kids are involved. We chose to stay at Lake Buena Vista Resort Village & Spa and it did not disappoint!

Lake Buena Vista Resort Village & Spa

This is hands down the best resort in Orlando and you should check it out for yourself. The top 4 things for us when it comes to travel is convenience, amenities, location, and affordability.

Convenience

Lake Buena Vista Resort Village & Spa had everything that we needed- literally everything. our room was on the 14th floor and gave us an amazing view of the courtyard. Our room was 2 two bedroom, two bathroom suite with a full kitchen, balcony, washing machine and dryer. It essentially have everything we needed from our house in a suite. We are a family of 5 including 3 growing and messy toddlers. Depending on what we did that day, we sometimes have to wash multiple loads of laundry per day. My favorite part was the jetted bath tub in the master bedroom. It was big enough to fit our three toddlers all at once.

Amenities

In addition to the kitchen, washing machine and dryer that our resort offered, it also have the most amazing amenities such as a full spa, large pool with a water slide in the pirate ship, two hot tubs, multiple restaurants, convenience store, and it is in walking distance to the Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores (outlet mall). The pool was our absolute favorite because they girls love water. It was the perfect temperature and large enough for plenty of people to fit in and still have space to enjoy yourself. The pirate ship was my favorite! I have a waterslide in it for the “big kids” and adults. I even talked my husband into getting on it with me. Some of the amenities include

  • Onsite Lani’s Luau Poolside Bar & Grille- the margaritas are amazing!
  • a full spa
  • large pool with a water slide in the pirate ship, two hot tubs,
  • a restaurant- Frankie Farrell’s Irish Pub & Grille
  • convenience store
  • 24-hour fitness center
  • Game room

Location

The resort was located near everything we needed. There was a Publix and Wal-Mart right down the street. This came in handy because we did grocery shopping for buy all of our favorite foods. Grocery shopping saved us a ton of money because we got to cook out meals instead of eating out 3+ times per day. It is also very close to the Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores which is an outlet mall which had of my favorite stores. This came in handy to buy the girls some more cute sandals because we left a pair back at home in Texas.
